This Classical Fingerstyle Workshop introduces you to the foundations of playing classical music on ukulele and baritone ukulele, focusing on fingerstyle technique and musical expression.

You’ll discover how to approach well-known classical songs such as Für Elise, Ode to Joy, Minuet, and other classical melodies using fingerstyle arrangements adapted specifically for ukulele and baritone ukulele players.

In the recording, you’ll learn two key classical fingerstyle concepts:

1) A complete Minuette fingerstyle arrangement (ukulele and baritone ukulele)
We start with a Bach-style Minuette that everyone can get their hands on. In the workshop, it’s taught first on standard ukulele tuning (G C E A) and then on baritone ukulele tuning (D G B E). You’ll learn the chord shapes, the melody notes, and how to hold shapes to keep the piece sounding smooth and connected.

2) Moonlight Sonata as a fingerstyle ukulele and baritone arrangement
Then we dive into Moonlight Sonata (a highly requested piece) and break down the fingerstyle arpeggio pattern and triplet feel that drives the arrangement. You’ll see how the chord changes work, how to approach tricky transitions, and how classical fingerstyle can sound rich and musical—even on a four-string instrument.
