Ukulele Major Scales UNLOCKEDÂ
LIVE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 6TH AT 9:00AM PST!Â
Stop Memorizing. Start Understanding the Fretboard.
Learn how to play major scales vertically and horizontally, connect the neck with confidence, and turn scales into real music — melodies, solos, and true musical freedom.
Most ukulele players memorize one scale shape and eventually feel stuck. They can play scales up and down, but struggle to turn them into music. Everything feels safe below the 5th fret, then confusing beyond it. Positions don’t connect. Soloing feels intimidating. If that sounds like you, the issue isn’t that you need more shapes — you need real understanding of how the fretboard works.
In this live workshop, we break the major scale down in a way that finally makes sense. You’ll understand what makes a scale “major,” learn the simple whole and half step formula, and discover how to find the major scale in any key without guessing.
From there, you’ll learn how to master the scale vertically, seeing patterns clearly and building confidence playing up the neck in position. Then we expand horizontally, connecting positions across the fretboard so you can move smoothly and stop thinking in isolated box shapes.
You’ll also learn how to play major scales in 3rds for an instant melodic sound and stronger phrasing, and in 6ths to create rich, harmonized textures that add depth to your playing. Most importantly, you’ll discover how to turn scales into real music — how to build melodies, improvise over chord progressions, and solo with clarity instead of just running notes.
This workshop is ideal for beginners ready to level up, intermediate players who feel stuck in one area of the neck, worship leaders and songwriters, aspiring soloists, and anyone who wants to truly understand what they’re playing.
After this workshop, you’ll be able to play major scales anywhere on the neck, connect vertical and horizontal movement naturally, create melodic lines with confidence, solo without fear, and actually understand the music coming out of your instrument.
This isn’t theory overload. It’s practical, musical, usable knowledge you can apply immediately.
You’ll receive the full live workshop experience with step-by-step breakdowns, clear fretboard diagrams, guided play-along examples, Q&A time, and replay access with downloadable materials (when applicable).

Being the person you are, you are able to inspire us all in your teachings just by being you. I feel very fortunate to have become one of your students, you are helping me to become a musician, maybe not the best but the best I can become. I, like other members of ULTP I’m sure, look forward to what you have in store for us this year, hopefully we will inspire others to join us and realise their dreams to become musicians.

I am so glad I found your site! I probably spend at least 4 hours a day watching your lessons and practicing. I'm still at the beginning stage but it gives me a lot to look forward too and I have spent a year jumping around on YouTube trying to find someone who could teach me how to play in a way that I could follow. (I don't know how to read music but now I am learning )You really are an amazing teacher and I truly appreciate your willingness to share your talents!!

Terry you are a supercharged music entity..Holy cow .. I'll be getting in on that course for sure..I have 3 great Ponos now ...they all sound different ..Just want to thank you was fortunate tonight to get some strumming practise in and I have to say I was a counter before but your approach has really improved my ability to maintain tempo which previously I would get lost in.I like the challenge of finger style but in order to not drive my wife crazy looks like your strumming help may prevent a divorce..lol
