Larry Santos
Larry Santos is a Hawaiian ukulele instructor, community leader, and the founder of Ukulele Project Hawaii, an organization dedicated to making ukulele education accessible to students across the islands. Born and raised on Oʻahu, Larry teaches with deep respect for Hawaiian tradition, sharing the original sound, feel, and spirit of island-style ukulele.
Larry began playing ukulele in 1997 and has been teaching since 2018. His instruction is rooted in traditional Hawaiian rhythm, tone, and musical phrasing, while remaining welcoming and approachable for players of all levels. Through Ukulele Project Hawaii, he has helped introduce thousands of students to the ukulele, focusing on building confidence, connection, and a genuine love for music. His work emphasizes not just how to play the instrument, but how to understand and honor its cultural roots.
Larry is also a Hawaiian music instructor at Uke Like The Pros, where he shares authentic island-style ukulele with a global audience. Through his teaching, he helps students connect with the true Hawaiian sound and carry that tradition forward.
