Hi! Welcome Back to Chord Mania!

Watch this LIVE ukulele tutorial for an in-depth lesson on the “E7” chord. You know what! This is one of the coolest sounding chords on the uke. You would have heard this chord on songs like “Sittin On The Dock Of The Bay” by Otis Redding. This chord is also used in Blues such as a Blues in E or Blues in A or Blues in B.

This lesson is not limited to just the chord shape but we are going to understand what makes the “E7” chord. I will explain the notes that make up this chord and the music theory behind the chord. I will also show you how you can play the exact shape all over the fretboard by transposing this chord.

Silent Night Ukulele Fingerpicking

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Chord Mania! In this lesson, I will explain how I have arranged the classic song “Silent Night” into a fingerpicking “masterpiece.” It differs from most other ukulele tutorials that have been classified as easy. This is definitely NOT an easy tutorial. As most ukulele tutorials seem easy they appeal to a large number of beginning ukulele players. But, since I am a technician, I will hold you to a high standard. I have tried to create a piece of music that will not only challenge you but also help you learn new techniques. You need to focus and work hard and you will be able to learn it. Once you master this piece, you will have fun playing it and impressing your friends and family! I use continuous right-hand fingerpicking pattern (plenty of backward rolls), ‘hip’ chord shapes, double stops, and some harp harmonics for this arrangement.

Ukulele Chord Mania “A Major” Chord EASY UKE TUTORIAL

FREE Ultimate Ukulele Chord Chart https://www.ukelikethepros.com/p/chords

I will explain the “A Major” open position chord in the LIVE tutorial. Last week, I think I got a little carried away with the “F Minor” chord and overlooked the importance of “A Major” chord. Many popular numbers such as "Sittin' On The Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding, "Blvd. of Broken Dreams" by Green Day, and "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" by Jimmy Cox (although made famous by Bessie Smith and Eric Clapton) use the "A Major" chord. I will not only explain the notes that make up this chord but also the music theory behind this chord. I will also teach you how to transpose this chord so that you will be able to play this exact shape throughout the fretboard.

Blues Turnaround Ukulele Lesson (Easy Uke Tutorial)

In this tutorial, you can learn how to play an Easy Blues Turnaround in A.
The turnaround is typically the last 2 bars of a 12 bar blues. I’m using the key A which means the chords used are: A chord (I), the D7 chord (IV) and the E7 chord (V).
In the turnaround i.e. bars 11 and 12, the chords used are the A and the E7 chords.
I will teach you how to play the turnaround and then I will be playing a 12 bar blues so that you can have a clear idea how the turnaround will fit in the complete Blues structure.
You can check out some great blues like B. B King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, and Robert Johnson to listen to some great turnarounds.

Tune A Ukulele Tutorial

snark clip tune a ukulele Jul 19, 2018

Hi friends! In this tutorial of the 4K Chord Mania series, I will explain how a Ukulele can be tuned using a Snark clip on tuner. You can get my exact tuner on - http://amzn.to/2DRixqV (affiliate link). You can tune the C - G - E - A on the soprano, concert, and tenor ukuleles. A baritone Ukulele is tuned differently using D-G-B-E, but the techniques I will demonstrate can be used for the tuning the baritone as well.
Here are some useful tips for tuning your Ukulele:
1. Firstly you should be able to identify the string names.
2. Get a tuner.
3. If the note is in tune, sharp, or flat, understand how to read the tuner.
4. Tune the note up using tuning pegs.
5. Ensure that you are tuning the correct note. For instance, I have a low G on my 4th string.

For any ukulele player, whether you play in a group or at home, or you are a beginner or an experienced player, knowing how to strum properly is important. In this lesson, I will give you useful tips on how to avoid mistakes and become a great strummer.

Minor Pentatonic Scale Ukulele

Hi, I am back with the next tutorial of 4K Ukulele tutorials! In this lesson, I will demonstrate how to play the C minor pentatonic scale on the ukulele. This pentatonic ukulele scale can be played on any soprano, concert, or tenor. You also have the flexibility to play it with a high or a low G string. It is important to memorize the scale soon so that you can then work on improvising the licks as I have demonstrated in the video. It is called the pentatonic scale because it has only 5 notes which are C - Eb - F - G - Bb.

Ukulele Music Reading Course For Beginners

Hi! Welcome back to Chord Mania! In this tutorial, I will explain the importance of music reading for your Ukulele career. I am excited to introduce Music Reading Beginners course on the Ukulele.
To master the art of playing the Ukulele, Music Reading is very important.
Let me explain what Music Reading is, it is taking notes on the Ukulele staff and seeing what they are on the Ukulele.
Music Reading will help you identify and play different rhythms. The best way to play songs is by putting notes and rhythms together.
The fact remains that most Ukulele players struggle with Music Reading, but if you master it, you will find Ukulele playing easy.
The reason why Music Reading is important is that when you read music, you are not just looking at the note on the page, but you are learning how to count, developing your sense of rhythm and coordination between your eyes, brain, and hand. You will be able to learn all the notes on the Ukulele neck.
I am 100% convinced that if you learn...
